The joy of being missed!

I was away for a business trip to Tokyo for 2 days and it was obvious that the kids missed me. They gave me a warm reception when I fetched them from my dad's house today. Even my usually nonchalant son stopped his ball game to give me a super big hug when he saw me!

Another clear sign that they missed me was - they talked non stop on the drive home and they have to fight for their turn to speak! They complained about papa sitting at his computer everyday after reaching home, leaving Tessa to pack Jacob's schoolbag for him. They also complained about papa's addiction to bejewelled every night while sleeping besides them. As usual, Tessa has endless stories to tell about her school mates but I have to say she has been a good sister while I was away. She made sure Jacob got his pocket money everyday, tested Jacob on his first spelling list and told me she gave him full marks despite his untidy handwriting!

Jacob was proud to report that he has 3 friends in school- Dylan, Jaden and Mark. He even knows that his class monitor Bryan is signing up for soccer while his assistant class monitor Edric is joining hip hop. I have signed him up for badminton, squash and bowling, in order of preference. Results will be out tom and I hope he will get his first choice!

Meetings in Tokyo went well, shopping was great and the kids missed me! What a wonderful week!
